Better Sleep

Rejuvenating sleep requires darkness.  For optimal health and well-being, sleeping for 8 hours per day is not the only factor. We also need darkness to produce adequate amounts of melatonin, a vital hormone that our bodies manufacture while we sleep. 

With the sunlight with us from very early in the morning to late in the evening throughout the summer, melatonin production requires us to darken our bedrooms with darkening blinds or dark fabric, (please take a look at how we did it in our massage room), or to use a light-shielding mask while sleeping. Doing so will you enjoy more energy and better health by increasing the quality of your sleep. Sweet dreams!
