What To Expect When You Contact Us

Texting us will give the quickest response. We do not interrupt another client’s session to answer the phone, but we can see when you text.  We will get back to you as soon as we possibly can. Simply leave us a brief message with any questions and we will get back to you as soon as we can.  We’ll do our best to accommodate your busy schedule, and offer you daytime, evening or Saturday appointment times.

After scheduling, we take the necessary time to give you very clear directions to our wellness center. Directions are also on our website. or tell you where to find them on our website, and to let you know that if have any difficulty in finding us, you may call or text us on your cell-phone and we’ll guide you in. (Please jot down our number, 320-282-8029, so if you do have any trouble finding our wellness center, you can easily contact us.)

What To Expect When You Arrive

Our goal is for you to feel very welcome and relaxed. If possible, please park in our driveway. We have room for up to 3 vehicles. The entrance, (indicated by a small AcuPolarity Wellness Center sign), is the door on the side of the garage.  Please walk in and follow the walkway through the garage area, down 3 steps, and into our reception area. Whenever possible, we will greet you as soon as you arrive. To help us do this, we have motion detectors in the walkway within the garage leading into the reception area, so we know exactly when you have entered.

If we are still in a session with another client, please begin filling out your intake forms, which are ready for you on the front desk. There is a simple one-page health history form and a second form explaining our ways of working, our credentials, office policies and your rights as our client (things like confidentially and your right to receive referrals from us to other practitioners.) These forms take only 5 minutes to fill out. Please help yourself to some herbal (non-caffeinated) tea or water and feel free to use the client restroom adjoining the reception area.

After you finish filling out your intake form, we will go over it with you and do our best to understand your health condition as well as your objective in working with us. New clients often ask us if they have to keep coming back in to see us indefinitely or if we can resolve their health concern within a relatively few sessions. We strongly believe that it is your body, your time and your money so you are always the one who decides on the length and frequency of your sessions. We wish to assure you that we will do our very best to improve your health as expediently as possible.

Because restoring health is a process, which may take time, commitment and some financial investment on your part, it is best not to have expectations of a ‘miracle cure’ from us or anyone else as this attitude may derail your journey to better health.

Next, we will walk you through our wellness center, and show you our two treatment rooms, yoga and exercise room and point out the client restroom. If you wish to stop off at the client restroom prior to having massage and bodywork, you may do so at that time, or you may take a break at any time during the session.

When you are ready to start, we will briefly discuss your preferences as to whether you wish to have bodywork as a clothed session or as a therapeutic massage. If it is the latter, we will go over your options for keeping some clothing on, such as underwear or bra. This is totally up to you. You can be assured that sensitive areas are always covered while we do therapeutic massage and bodywork. We give you a few minutes to get ready and we will always knock prior to entering, so you have time to get settled and covered if we are doing massage work.

During and your session, we will frequently ask you if the pressure that we are using is deep enough to do you good, but not too deep for you to feel comfortable and relaxed.

After the session, we will leave the room and give you time to dress. We will encourage you to drink some water or have some tea. We will take a few minutes to receive payment from you and answer any questions. If you wish to reschedule at that time, you may do so. *   To reserve your place on our schedule, we can request a non-refundable 50.00 deposit for a couples massage, which will be applied towards your therapeutic massage session.   Unfortunately, we have had incidents of last minute cancellations and ‘no-shows’ which are costly for us unfair to our other clients who were not able to be served, as the time was already reserved.  If you need to cancel, or reschedule, we appreciate giving us as much advance notice as possible. We will refund your deposit if you give us 24 hours advance notice.  Thank you for this extra consideration.
