Polarity Therapy

Polarity Therapy, which may be done through clothing or within a therapeutic massage, is based on the work of Dr. Randolph Stone. It uses a wide variety of energy-based methods to gently re-balance all the systems of the body. It excels at calming your nervous system to reduce held tension, stress & help insomnia.

The principles behind Polarity Therapy, Acupressure, Reiki, Chakra Balancing, Chi Gong & Pranic Healing revolve around the practical application of a fundamental reality in science, which is the view that our bodies are energy systems, with the innate ability to heal, when given proper resources and care. Approaching your health issues in this way provides the best opportunity to restore balance, increase energy and achieve more optimal health and well-being. Polarity Therapy is a very comprehensive and time-tested natural health system that really works!

There are four major aspects of Polarity Therapy:

  1. Bodywork – where the Polarity Therapy professional works on you on a massage table, (and most often, for us at AcuPolarity Wellness Center, within a therapeutic massage session), but is oriented to your body as an energy system first, and a physical structure second. It may use very light to quite deep pressure.
  2. Polarity Yoga – where you may receive some Polarity Yoga poses to do on you own.  Polarity Yoga has movement within each posture, as opposed to most other yoga where a posture is held in a still way until it is time to move to another posture. We also teach Polarity Yoga as part of our yoga classes at AgeLess Yoga, here in St Cloud, MN.
  3. Polarity Nutrition – This consists of two basic types of vegetarian diets… a cleansing diet and a health building diet.  The cleansing diet is great for healing from illness. The health building diet builds strength, stamina and optimal health once one has recovered.
  4. Enhanced Awareness –  The idea here is to heighten our awareness in all aspects of our life, so we may be better able to be highly effective in all that we do.  This is especially important for the polarity therapist who is tuning in to the subtle energy of his or her clients.
